This guy start is comment with: "Some of you may or may not know that I have imported GT5P from Japan " and yet this is ONLY his SECOND POST in that forum. So you would trust somebody who just joined a forum, start a review with a comment like that (like we should know him, lol)
C'mon give us a break! Comments from a forum is worst than a comments from a blog.
Still, the original question was: Why would a game be more expensive for the PS3 than the 360 in a country, and not in all the others!!!
Basically, why would a game like COD4 be more expensive in New Zealand???
P.S.: If you were given $700, wouldn't you buy a console you don't have right now, and a handfull of games??? I would... (would likely get the 360 and the Wii, or the 360 with some of those games on your list)
Today, you got a huge bubble from me.
Any particular reason? Cannot be custom fees or shipping since a game like COD4 comes from the same place, no matter if it's a 360 or PS3 version. Quite interesting, really hope somebody can provide an answer!
PS: KingJFS, the answer to your question is WOULD YOU. Would you really, really buy 20 games that are on sale ($35) because they are last year version, or nobody buy them anymore? Let's put it that way, if you would give me $700, I would not run out and buy 70 PS2 gam...
A 500 words stupid article on a unadvertised feature added for free on the PS3. Some people must have absolutely nothing to do... In school, you ask the kids to write a 500 word essay, and they will think it's the end of the world. But this poor guy is picking a feature that work quite decently, that we got for FREE, and yet, he had to write such a long article about it. Very funny. Those journalists should buy consoles for themselves if they have so much time to loose!
This article mention the fact that PS3 games would be more expensive???
I have not seen once a PS3 game more expensive than it's 360 counterpart.
Is there really a country in the world where PS3 games are more expensive?
Curiously yours,
I think they could have put Madden 2009 and people would have voted for it without seeing it : )
So sure enough, even if there was a first round of votes, it's not like there was thousands and thousands of PS3 fans reading this site...
But, I have to admit that I'm amazed that a few Wii exclusive titles made the list... I guess it's those Wii60 guys : )
A year ago, when I was going to any store in my area, I was pretty mad at the fact that almost every store where hiding the BluRay movies while hd-dvd where all in plain sight. Today, it's either 50-50 or there's even a few stores where BluRay are easier to spot. So basically, sales are obviously helping things.
Now, this story is about a small store. Where do you buy your games usually??? I buy them where they are the cheapest. And sadly, it's usually in the big stores. Sur...
No, each individuals get differents protein. Joining a group brings a few things.
1- You feel you're part of a small community.
2- If you fold a lot, it's easier to get into the top 50, 20 or 10 members of your group instead of trying to get to the top of the hundred of thousands folders.
3- Groups have forums, so if you have any questions about folding, they will gladly help you.
4- Quite often, some groups will organize "foldathons". Basi...
Think about it. How many interviews have you read from Nintendo or Microsoft president and CEO. Almost none because they carefully select each interviewers!!! They hide in their hole.
Yet, you have a guy who basically answers any questions from any interviewers, good or bad. Look at the sick questions those guys from Mercury's BLOG asked, and yet, Tretton is not hiding in a hole.
So you may not like him, but how do you like the wimps from Nintendo and Microsof...
"That some no-name-blogger writes a story about how much he dislikes console X, that is not news."
He is a blogger, but saddly, I guess he is not a no-name. Still sad though because blogs.mercurynews.com is only doing it to boost their blog site. But to show you how sad it is, those poor guys (he is not the only one defending his blogs on that site) is writing even more shiit to defend his first blog...
Very poor journalism indeed. But since it sadly ...
I thought it was still on "track" for 2008?
Only Peter Moore was about as good as Tretton and sadly for Microsoft, they "lost" him. What do you expect those guys to say, particularly when journalist are as biased as those from the Mercury News. Still, Tretton hold is ground. The PS3 is still in third right now, and yet, there's some guys who like to pound on Sony's CEO, just to boost rating.
Please, tell me where are the other main guys for Nintendo or Microsoft. Tretton is being interviewed left right and cen...
No matter how much they hate the PS3 (it's not the first time such type of "news" is taken from that BLOG), this article would never have been printed in a newspaper. Any editor would have killed that story on the spot because the newspaper would loose all credibility.
On the other side, everything is allowed in a blog. So, it's kind of sad when a "reporter" use is newspaper title, to get an interview with a president and CEO of a company, just to ask such ...
Ok, so people who like Halo are buying Dew... How many cans do they drink??? How much do you think it did cost, in lawyers alone, to get all the dot on the i and all the little bars on the t, for what you think is cheap cross marketing.
What about the other partners. Did you buy a Samsung tv or took the Comcast boat when you bought yours? Those are hidden cost too. Sure, company laywers are already on the payroll, but trust me, in the months before the launch, those guys were...
Very scary... It's usually the other way around!!!
But yes, you're totally right.
I guess the 18 millions "kids" who have bought the 360s and PS3s at price averaging $450 are so poor, we should start a fundraiser to feed them. Sure they cannot buy games at $60 a pop.
Well, maybe 18 millions is not demographic!!! But how many is???
This launch was awesome, but the advertising budget alone was enough to buy a small country!!! C'mon, Halo 3 never needed that much advertisement. They could have let Halo 3 sell by itself, then use that money do develop another game!
How many people bought Halo 3 because they saw it on a can of Mountain Dew???
Nobody said anything about a "comspiracy", conspiracy, or anything like that. I would bet a lot of money that Microsoft didn't ask that reporter to print such a stupid comment. But being on NBC/Microsoft payroll, this poor guy probably thought it was a good thing to do. I'd bet he is not allowed to talk about consoles anymore.
Now, as far as defending Sony, you're right, nobody need too. Some guys are here to read news. Some guys are here to post bad news only. Some ...
Some people will debate about who should have been the real winner.
Other people will debate about the fact that one candidate was not even there.
For this one, for the first time, not only did I thought many games were missing, but particularly, many games were not in the correct category!!!
I guess this will always be the way with games. With movies, I can tell you 4 out of the 5 movies that will be nominated and I will guess the winners almost ...
